Press Application Form Sakura-Con welcomes and appreciates all media coverage. Please complete the press application below to request press access to our event. You may be contacted with questions in the process of determining approval, so please be sure to add press@sakuracon.org to your email address book or email white list in order to receive emails from the Sakura-Con Press staff. All applications must be received via our form by March 9th 2024. Sakura-Con does not guarantee all applicants will be granted press access, but will respond to all applications received before March 9th 2024. Any requests received after that date risk not being reviewed due to time constraints. Sakura-Con does not guarantee approval on any interview requests. Exhibitors

Sakura-Con is pleased to offer one of the largest exhibit halls in the Pacific Northwest. The Exhibit Hall is located on-site at the Seattle Convention Center. Our Exhibit hall features a variety of vendors, including: merchants who will bring their best merchandise to you, cultural exhibitors who will teach you more about the richness of Asian culture, Industry guests and the newest that anime has to offer. If you are interested in becoming an exhibitor for Sakura-Con, please contact the Exhibit Hall Manager (Exhibitors@sakuracon.org) with the following information: – Company/Contact Name – Description of merchandise you plan on selling at the convention;  If your merchandise is predominantly fanart, please apply to the Artist Alley. – Pictures of your booth set-up (if unavailable, pictures of merchandise) – Number of booths desired Our Exhibit Hall staff will review applications on a first-come/first-serve …

Presented by the Asia Northwest Cultural Education Association, Sakura-Con is the oldest and most well attended anime convention in the Pacific Northwest. Guest Announcement: HIROMI WAKABAYASHI

Creative Producer / Planning and scriptwriter Previously a member of Studio GAINAX, Hiromi Wakabayashi has been involved in several works with Hiroyuki Imaishi. Most notably GURREN LAGANN as design production. Hiromi also contributed in Panty&Stocking with Garterbelt as co-creator, writer, and episodic director. After making transitions to Studio TRIGGER, Hiromi has been actively involved in the production of KILL la KILL, Space Patrol Luluco, and PROMARE as creative director and music producer. Hiromi has also filled in roles as script and art director for STAR WARS: VISIONS “THE TWINS”. Hiromi took part in production as creative support and music selection for TRIGGER’s most recent project Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Guest Announcement: SHIGETO KOYAMA

Designer Shigeto Koyama began his career working on the series Diebuster with the historic Studio GAINAX, and went on to take part as a designer in a variety of massively popular and critically acclaimed projects, including GURREN LAGANN, Rebuild of Evangelion, KILL la KILL, and the Academy Award®-winning Big Hero 6. In 2015, Koyama made his directorial debut with the short film Obake-chan, and has worked on additional Studio TRIGGER projects. Some of these titles  include PROMARE, STAR WARS: VISIONS “THE TWINS”, and most recently Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

Guest Announcement: Chiemi Tanaka

Chiemi Tanaka is a Japanese voice actress that has voiced various roles including Rina Tennoji from “Love Live! Nijigasaki School Idol Club”, Rikka from “The Little Lies We All Tell”, and Romi/Princess from “Catch! Teenieping”. In 2023 she released her first photobook “Mikakunin” and is active in a variety of media including her own radio show. She is also active as a music artist together with Natsumi Murakami as NACHERRY and has performed for the opening for TV anime series “The Little Lies We All Tell” and the opening for “Gushing over Magical Girls”.
