Mayumi Tanaka is a prolific and accomplished seiyu.
She is best known for the
roles of Ryuunosuke Fujinami in Urusei Yatsura, Pazu in Laputa:
Castle in the Sky, Monkey D. Luffy in One Piece and Krillin in
Dragon Ball but her total anime and non credits are very extensive.
Ms. Tanaka has appeared in well over 150 roles, many in such notable series
as Chrono Trigger, Rurouni Kenshin and Kimba the White
Lion. Ms. Tanaka is a fan favorite as Kanna in Sakura Wars as well
as the singer of the theme song for the franchise. This is Mayumi Tanaka's
first Sakura-Con and first West Coast convention appearance.
Mayumi Tanaka, the seiyuu for Luffy from One Piece, will present a voice acting demonstration and mini-concert featuring Team Dream Catchers, Katsuhiro Namba, Run Sasaki, and juggling performances by Tanaka's son Kosuke.
