Konnichiwa. Hello. Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Sakura-Con!

There are plenty of opportunities to volunteer at Sakura-Con. The volunteers and membership service departments have been moved out of operations and into the new Membership department. As such there are going to be lots of changes from previous years. As we get closer to the convention check back here for more details as we get things ironed out. And if you know you want to volunteer already please take the time to fill out the application so we can keep you informed about the upcoming year.

Requirements for volunteers:

Must be a registered/paid attendee.
Must be at least 16 years of age by the date of the convention. Some positions such as merchandising and registration require 18 years of age.
Must be mature, understand and follow directions, and work in a group setting.
Fill out the Volunteer Application (below) with your contact information.
Attend a Volunteer Orientation Meeting either before the convention at a regular meeting or the morning of the convention in the volunteer office at the Convention Center prior to beginning duties.

The Volunteer Coordinator and Staff will review the application. If a position becomes available that you meet the requirements for and that you have volunteered for, we will assign you to that duty/room to get you started. Please be aware, not everyone who volunteers will be utilized of have their first choice of assignments, however we will do our best to find a position for anyone who volunteers.
